Yup I used to wake up insanely sore lol. As you do it more though your body will get more used to it and you get stronger and stuff so you wont be so sore.
Ooooh ok. I wonder how they could know the difference between sintered and extruded.
Its alright. Like I was sayin the last trip wasnt so great lol. It was like pretty bad and then it snowed and it was better but there were some uber icy spots especially as the day went on. And the last day was probably the worst. Im gettin better on rails though I did like a 360 on a rail which was hella fun. Hopefully im goin up this weekend again.
oh and worse case is you might heat your board up too hot and melt the bindingagent holding the board together…but that takes ALOT of heat. so dont really worryabout that too much.
Oh come on man thats not very comforting lol. If i do it ill buy an iron and everything so i guess that would help. Thanks
Yup softee practice makes perfect. One day your gonna have a run where it all just comes to you and your blasting down the mountain. Well kinda.Just stick with it. Its definately worth the falls. As for the boots you dont want them to hurt your feet like you dont want your toes curled up. But you do want them nice and snug. Maybe you can try on a smaller size and see how that is.
^YeaDogfunk.com is also really good if you can find what you want there. They have amazing customer service(especially cuzza the live chat). Thev house is great as well
Yea price could be a significant factor. You also have to think about buying boots and bindings which could add up to another 200-400+ . This might be a bad thing to say but realistically it might be a good idea to just go to your local snowboard shop and look around at what they have, taking into consideration the info frostys calculator gave you. There are really so many different boards to choose from. But ya i might be wrong but if your buying from like burton or k2 you really shouldnt have any trouble and should end up with a nice ride. Maybe some one knows something i dont thoughIf I were you i would either go to the store or like through websites andstuff and see what fits my budget and what i am looking to do
yeah ive done that. The lock valet thing. But the thing is that by the time you use the valet for like 3 days, you might as well have just bought a lock lol. Locks save you money after a while
Well I always used to rent. Usually people start out renting and thats probably the best thing to do to make sure you acttually like snowboarding and everything before you invest allll of that money on a new setup. You will though its awesome :)But go to the size calculator, use it and bring the results back here…
ive seen bindings hanging from a lock before, so i know people have taken boards that way, even locked.
^^Thats reassuring lolI alwayslock up my snowboard. I figure why not because its like your setup is so expensive and a lock is like 10 bucks so why not. And it only takes like 20 seconds to lock it. Its crazy though cuz like even though you see people just leavin their stuff unlocked and everything, you never know whos like a criminal lol and if peoples stuff is actually getting stolen. But even with a lock its kinda just a deterent basically because it probably wouldnt take much effort to break those skinny little locks or unscrew the binding if you really wanted.
Im confused^ lol which method for what kinda tape? You prolly have that burton stomp pad. (I got burton bindings and it came with that but i didnt use it)Im pretty sure it has a thin peel off 3m adhesive kinda tape.

ooooh that sounds cool.Maybe i could find some some day lol. Are they on trail maps? im assuming notAwesome vid rowanUber narrow lol
This is a total noob question and ur prolly gonna get mad cuz im not making a new topic but what exactly is a glaade lol. like where can the be found. will east coast mountains have them
Well let me be the first to say welcome to frostyrider.com :)If you stick with the waist width/boot size from the calculator, you should be fine with the snowboard. As for the bindings, u should be fine for the most part, however in order for everything to be like ideal, you gonna have to adjust the bindings straps and stuff every time you rent a different binding. If i were you id consider investing in some bindings. Theyre long lasting and you can get a decent pair for around $100. Seasonl rentals might help also.As far as board length, a shorter ride willl be tad bit easier to turn and especially better for freestyle spins and stuff. Lil longer is more speed carving kinda. But between like 159 and 160 it doesnt matter lol. It also depends on the board itself cuz every board has a different sidecut and stuff like that depeneding on what its designed to do basiWell let me be the first to say welcome to frostyrider.com :)If you stick with the waist width/boot size from the calculator, you should be fine with the snowboard. As for width for the most part you want to go for as narrow as possible usually cause its just better for turns. However, it cant be too narrow because you dont want toe or heel drag. That is when your boots are hanging too far(more than an inch or so, could some one correct me on that) of the side of your ride. Were here to help. 😉 lol -
