Do you have any ideas for color lense and what brand are good for night snowboarding. Even with the lights my goggles are still hard to see out.

For night riding, use a clear lens.

hey this will sound a little stupid but what is a “burr” on a snowboards metal edge?

A burr is a deformation of the metal wherein it raises up and causes the serface to not be smooth anymore.  If you run your fingernail up and down the edge you can feel it “grab” where there is a burr (be careful, it could cut your finger!).  Burrs are especially hard since they are typically formed then the steel edge hits a rock or other hard surface and sparks — the spark forms heat and actually tempurs the steel.  Most burrs can be removed easily with a tuning stone, however nasty ones may require a diamond stone.

Hi Nancy,Great question!  A boot overhang of 1 inch toe and heel is not bad at all.  STance angles are preference, but I can tell you that zero degrees on the back foot is not uncommon.  Looks like you are good to go!Sincerely,Frosty – 8

Tough choice dude.  They are both really nice rides and I am sure would both work nicely for you.  The specs are very similar.  The Se7en is a True Twin board while the Elite is a Directional Twin.  This mainly means that if you set up the bindings for all-mountain riding, you may have to set them towards the tail 3-4cm on the Se7en to give you the longer nose that's beneficial in powder.  The Elite has that built in already.

I like the Custom, although I have never ridden a White.  I think the White is designed more for freestyle, so I say CUSTOM!

You're right, a board does move faster when the base is flat on the snow.  Problem is you can lose control that the edges give you.Let me let you in on a little-known secret of the pros (especially boardercross racers).  There is an easy way to go fast keeping flat base and stay going straight and in control.  Take your back foot and go to an edge, slightly — very slightly.  Now take your front foot and put it flat so it is not edging at all.  Yes, you will feel the board twist between your feet.  That's how you know you are doing it right. That will get you going straight and fast and in control all at the same time.  HANG ON!FR – 8

Hey dude.  There is very little (if any) noticable difference between 2 or 3 centimeters of board length.  Many other factors come into play that can override that — for example:- Is the extra couple cm in board Running Length or in Tip/Tail Kick?- Sidecut radius of the board- How de-tuned the board is- Current snow conditionsAll of these can override 2 to 3 cm of board length, so IMO it's up to you but soesnt really matter that much independently.FR 8

Woo hoo!  I'm going to Zermatt in March.  I'll let you know how it is. :)Steamboat has some great tree boarding, though.

Man I am hella-jealous!  Definately take some pics of the trip and send them this way.Yeh, Some of my BEST tree runs are from Steamboat.  The aspen runs in the shadows and pioneer ridge are rad!

Maybe when you are going on a long trip to the place you always wanted to go and you want to have your board perfect.Or maybe when the wax on your board is designed for a different temperature than what you will be riding in.The last answer is my final answer.

CORRECT!  You get stoked which increases your respect level 1 point.

Awesome pictures and videos!  All together in one place.  Can't wait to look at them all.  I did notice that the Amazing Snowboarding video is in the video section four times with different names.

OK, I gotta work ou tthe quirks still.  I want to have a place like that to browse others' pics and vids as well as have our own original stuff up there too.

OK, im too curious.  How do you get free sharpenings?

I wax every two to four outings and the base lasts a LONG time.

Good question.  I have some things I try to remember.1) Is my board and gear all ready to use (waxed, binding bolts TIGHT, etc..)2) Am I mentally ready (out to have a good time, nothing else on my mind)3) Remember to drink plenty of water – even if not thirsty (makes a HUGE difference in performance)4) Do I remember the basics and can I perform them on the first run (practice skidding and carving turns left and right, speed and direction in control before blasting down the mountain)5) Remember how to fall correctly6) Remember porper eye and skin protectionThant's all I can think of at the moment.  I hope this is helpful to some people.

Snowboarding%20heaven.jpgYeh, Zermatt would be awesome!  Lots of powder and the Matterhorn in the skyline. For me CH would be #2 but #1 has to be heli-boarding in Valdez Alaska
