ย I can only imagine the looks I am going to get rolling up in a big SUV with 4 boards strapped to the roof and Colorado license platesย They are going to look at me like I am crazy!ย
no, the snowboarder kiddies are going to back off cause us east coast people get a tad bit intimidated when someone from 'rado shows up with multiple boards ;)but they're also gonna expect double back flip rodeo 1260's strapless. ;)im so glad it was nothing major. your season is saved, and thats good news all around!
awesome i cant wait to see em! take some asap, im going riding tomorrow (sunday!) at a resort in ohio and ill have plenty to swap!
yup in both. the board in the 1st one is my grudge, my baby!the 2nd pic is my manual. i didnt want the street to tear up thebottom of my good board. i have some more pics i might have to post later. ๐
maybe they'll hit it with the foot spray like the skating rink ๐ still, id take stinky foot cheese over not riding anyday!well, its been cold here yes, but the resorts have been really weird about making snow. perfect north made some, and still has some, but one of my friends went and came back injured because it was almost all sheet ice. then theres north carolina which had 3 runs open, all shutes, not fun for a freestyle boarder that likes jumps, so im still just waiting.BUT! we did get 4 inches of powder in my back yard last night, so i did get to ride and get my first injury. :)little bottom bruise from trying to jump a trash can. haha. road ice got me good, but still was fun. heres a few pics, nothing from the riding but some of the snow.maybe they'll hit it with the foot spray like the skating rink ๐ still, id take stinky foot cheese over not riding anyday!well, its been cold here yes, but the resorts have been really weird about making snow. perfect north made some, and still has some, but one of my friends went and came back injured because it was almost all sheet ice. then theres north carolina which had 3 runs open, all shutes, not fun for a freestyle boarder that likes jumps, so im still just waiting.BUT! we did get 4 inches of powder in my back yard last night, so i did get to ride and get my first injury. :)little bottom bruise from trying to jump a trash can. haha. road ice got me good, but still was fun. heres a few pics, nothing from the riding but some of the snow.
being in my neighborhood riding with friends was kinda fun. ๐ the road iced over really bad, we were on our way to the skatepark. nice little warm up though. plus it was pretty warm!
you should get everyone that makes it onto all of the levels go for a video part. then you'd have your own site video. plus getting everyone involved will insure there is plenty of footage. ๐
ewww hope you dont get stinky foot cheese! have fun! im jealous!
how much are replacement cords? ive always been curious about that.
dunno if this helps but dogfunk.com is selling electric goggles with a free replacement lens right now.they're a bit pricey at $85, but i just got a pair and i love em.ย ๐ replacement lens cost $20 from them.
im from tennessee ๐ย i usedto dateย girl from lafayette, thats about as north as ive gotten haha. paoli and perfect northare both in the south on the boarder of kentucky for paoli and ohio for perfect north.that sucks about your knee man. hopefully you'll get enough good days to make a seasonout of it ๐
i dont know if this helps, but have you tried doing it switch? i know its awkward, butit beats loosing $450 if they wont let you do it! riding switch might help becauseyou would keep your injured knee straight and the good one can flop around asneeded to load in the lift line.my home resort, you can not under any circumstances ride the lift without ski's ora snowboard. one of the operators i met last year doesnt even ski or snowboardand they make him carry one so he can load and unload safely. but its moreof an ice issue down here. theres no way you could get off a lift in indiana withboots, you'd automatically fall. its hardpack ice ahhaha. god i love indiana.
frosty probably knows alot more about salomon than i do, so id take his advice if you're deadstuck on that brand. (salmon makes great stuff btw, my home resort uses them as rental boardsand they're really nice)being a newbie have you looked into flow? its a step/strap in style that'll save you the hassleof strapping in every time you end a run, and when you're first starting out, thats the worstpart about snowboarding.
you are my hero. i was about to throw in the towel on this one and just rent a snow mobile andhit the back country with someone from the area but im going to check that place out.i owe you one man!
yeah im kinda wondering how craigslist thing works too. our season passes have ourpictures on them and they're laminated. but a resort to the east of us, if you get a seasonpass, you get a little card and they mail you a bunch of “whenever” lift tickets and youjust use em, and if you run out you just ask for more. just blank tickets that says seasonpass member. it might be something like that. but the beauty of craigslist is i can meetthe guy in person and check the ticket out in real life before buying it, so we'll see howthat works.
except the lift ticket prices holy !@#$ they have issues with prices.other than loveland, it ranges from $75-115! A DAY!$115 is a season pass in the lower east side c'mon!though one of my buds told me to hit up craigslist because peoplesell tickets on there for cheap. but still….what a rip! maybe ill justrent a suv and go back country!
holy crap! well… you're not missing anything. the only thing cable is good for is youtube and limewire.and right now both are sucking pretty hardcore hahaah.
