Sure thing bro.  Can you give me your boot size and where do you typically ride?  I think knowing these extra things can allow me to advise you most accurately.Sincerely,Frosty 8

Looks like your Cruzer is in pretty good shape.  How does it feel when you get all strapped in?

Thanks a million frosty!!! I went to a resort on Lake Tahoe on Sunday and tried the advice you gave and I finally was able to do it!!! I even tried a few basic jumps and even a ramp and was actually able to pull it off (for the most part, when I cleared the ramp I got so excited that I fell  🙁 )You rock!PS: While there I saw a lot of bare patches.  It was such a sad sight to see, to know that the season will soon be over… 🙁

LOL that's great.  Congrats on your achievements in carving and jumping!  I am sure that next season you will be like a rock star out there.

It is hard to say.  It is commonly known that the toe straps are far less crutial than the ankle straps, so it may not matter that much to be very concerned about.

They are available in quite a few brands, not just only Burton 🙂

Yeh, good luck and stay healthy so you can get in some more quality rail sessions next season.Let us know how it goes.

Seems like you have a good understanding of the lacing systems.  You might want to consider the in-between which have PULL CORDS.  They are WAY more convenient than lacing but are less likely to break than boa systems.  I have the pull cords on my new Burton boots and adore them.

Hey, no problem.  If a board loses it's camber, it will not distribute the pressure along the base and edges as evenly.  It will also lose the snappy feel.  Not the end of the world, but not optimal performance either.  Peace Out!

ok  thanks. But also i would realy apreciate it if you have any other tips on rails. “the more the merrier”

Sure.  – Do not mount a rail while going too slow.  You will be more likely to fall.- Line up your path of approach way early and line it up GOOD.  Just like an airliner coming in for a landing.  If your line is off even one degree it could cause you to bail early — especially on longer rails.

                            Hey dude, terrific questions!

Is it better control the amount of edging with my back foot or front foot?

As with skidded and other turns on a snowboard, you almost always want to initiate the carve with the front foot, control the bulk of the carve with both feet, and finish using the back foot.  Once you get the hang of it, it really helps!

Other times I do get the carve, but I catch an edge while evening out between the toe and heelside turns and l fall.  Do you have any advice for controlling that?

The above will help you with this.  This especially applies when on steeper runs like blues and blacks.  When completing the carve (or skidded carve or skidded turn for that matter) the back foot will have more weight and angle sending you into a “pure carve” for a moment.  This is necessary.  From this you have a

Good question!  They are both true.  The former is just being extra safe.  Typically, it's okay to store your board flat.  Especially if inside where there is controlled humidity and temperature.  Most of todays modern builds have strong camber so thay are really not affected.

LOL, yeh I don't think I will go far ou tof my way to go to Wisp, but it was my stomping ground as a lad and have fun memories from being there.  Mainly icey runs but can be fun for sure.I never been to Cortina but I hear it's awesome.I go to Keystone from time ot time and I always end up wishing I was at Loveland, A-basin, Breck, or Copper instead.  I think I get that Disney-feeling at Keystone.  Not bad on the right day though.  Nice views from the top. Also, you won't believe this, but the abbreviation for Switzerland is CH.  LOL.

The differences in types of rails and mounting techniques would take forever to explain.  FOr the most part, small corrections can be made while sliding on the rail, but it is commonly known that once you feel yourself coming off you need to bail to the side.
