SummitX Snowboarding Review StarTV France Review of SummitX on StarPlayer in France 2-01-12 While we await the new SSX coming out in March for phone and tablet, snowboarding fanatics can have fun while waiting by hurtling the tracks of Summit X. At least, that's what we are doing… The ultimate goal of the simple game mode is to get the highest score by maximizing the most snowboarding tricks per level. At the end of your run, depending on your losses, you can collect medals which will unlock new levels, for a total of 36 spread over 6 mountains. You also collect money, which you can buy equipment with as well as new tricks. But how is the touch maneuverability? Well it is clearly the best surprise of the game. The game play is with your thumbs which lets you control the snowboarder by his shoulders, which makes it for very natural game play. While your snowboarder is airborne, a trick menu is displayed and its up to you to choose which part of the snowboard you want to grab to maximize points. It is encouraged to combine multiple tricks to create different combos. Technically it's clearly at the top of smart phone and tablet games. In addition, 2 resolutions are available to adapt to the device you have. We give Summit X snowboarding the Starplayer rating of 14 out of 20 which is making its case to be the best snowboarding game for mobile platforms.
