I stick mine in a pony table out the top of my ear warmer headband, but I'm going to try the pocahantas look!!!
Yeah we've had some awesome trips in the alps (les Arcs FR being most recent) but Europe is easy for us and if we're going to go big we want to go across to America/Canada.Mm haven't thougth much about Heli-boarding. Is that something you can do from resorts across there?
Hey RowanSorry I didn't reply for ages. We do normally get quite a bit of snow. We're pretty far north in Scotland!! I've posted (or tried to) my local piste maps so you can see what they're like. Nothing like the Alps but plenty playground!!! π
Yeah I live in Aberdeen which is right next to the Highlands in the NE of Scotland (the bit that sticks out towards Norway). There isn't really anywhere else to go. http://ski.visitscotland.com/ is where we get all our info although it's pretty optimistic. I don't know where Port of Mentieth is, I've not heard of it. We're kind of limited in choice there are only 5 resorts and they're tiny nothing like what you guys have! There are a few dry slopes but I'm a real thing girl!!!
I will if we get enough snow again. At the moment there's just a light covering and artifical snow on the nursery slopes. Last year there was a good dump in March so I've still got my fingers crossed for more snowboarding! I'll be gutted if that was it for the season! Here's hoping for a long cold winter in Europe!S
Not really a lot. The mountains aren't really very high. We get the odd weekends, this is the closest slopes to me. Not a massive resort, but it's enough for a day and they're really good about you building jumps and stuff!!http://ski.visitscotland.com/conditions/lecht/
It was amazing. It even snowed on Christmas day. There's loads of off piste at Les Arcs, brilliant! We stayed in a beautiful chalet with a host and he even cooked Christmas dinner for us! I think we're definately going to go to France again (prob next year as Β£ is really weak at the moment). I'm praying for more snow in Scotland now so that I can take flex days from work and do something fun!!!Sx
Beautiful, beautiful Les Arcs. I'm in love with the Alps
Les Arcs is E203 for a week. Quite expensive, but not as far a Whistler for me!! I'd love to go there!! Will try and post pics when I get back! Have a great Christmas and New Year! π
Hey allScotland calling!!! We've had a great start to the season with The Lecht (Cairngorms) open as early as 31st October (that's really early for us!). I'm off to Les Arcs (France) for Christmas. No presents for me, just snow and slopes…… π
Bulgaria was Ok. Resorts are really small though so unless you're a beginner you'll get bored in two days! Food wasn't great either!Β π Definately won't be going back. I'm still praying I win the lottery and can get across to Whistler!!!Β π But will probably end up in the Alps! Hoping for some Scottish action this weekend though!!!
Heading to Borovets, Bulgaria?? π Not sure what it's going to be like? Anyone been there before? Very cheap though, coming from Scotland!! V jealous of you guys in StatesΒ 8)
