hey frosty(again) 🙂 at my home park there are some goofy little trails that go off into the woods and then come back to the runs. while i was riding out there i ran over a few sticks and stuff. now there are some scratches in the wax. should i have it rewaxed or just hang out till it's more worn down?
February 25, 2005 at 6:52 pm - Views: 116 #2152That is your personal choice. 🙂 The more often you wax (or take other general care of) your board, the longer it will last. If it is your “nice deck” or only ride, I would suggest more maintenance; but if it is just a POS “rock board” then it might wait.

Nope. For snowboarding you need either snowboard or ski wax.
November 16, 2006 at 12:46 am - Views: 107 #2286Hey frosty I'm getting a new Burton Shaun White Small. I need it to last a couple years so would you recommend me getting it re hot waxed after 20 times use.
November 18, 2006 at 2:22 pm - Views: 138 #2288I know you asked Frosty but anyway.Try flipping your board upside down, take some snow into your hand, and let it slide on the bottom of the board(let it go). If it travels smoothly, it's fine, if not you might want to wax it. Also, if there start to be fairly nice sized scratches, you should wax it then too.

Waxing every 20 times out is not enough. If you want a board to last you need to wax it more often than that.
December 19, 2006 at 8:48 pm - Views: 114 #2326But then again, 20 times is general. If you use it a half an hour a day, 20 times isn't that much, I would think.
December 19, 2006 at 11:35 pm - Views: 115 #2328I wax every two to four outings and the base lasts a LONG time.
