This thread is about skis and involves this question…Do people typically buy twin-tip skis in different length than traditional skis?For instance, if the ski is twin-tip, then more of the ski is raised off the surface hence a shorter contact length. However, typically those who choose twin-tip skis desire an overall shorter ski for the sake of maneuverability. So does it actually cancel itself out or is there some other factor involved?Here is another way to ask the same question…If I ski on 175cm length traditional skis and I go to buy twin-tip skis, am I going to be looking for the same overall length or something different? If so, why?
