OMG as if this stuff wasn't dangerous enough.  Did you guys hear about the tower in Whistler, BC collapsing?  Apparently a bunch of people were really shook up, but nothing serious.  WOW!http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/28268812/

Those people are lucky, this could have been alot worse.  Have you guys ever had a bad personal experience with a lift/tram/gondola? When I was at Jay Sunday we took the tram, it was kinda windy when we loaded but nothing major.  Once we got going up the wind came up something wicked, by the time we got to tower 2 the tram was swinging so bad the operators had to bring it to a stop it so we didn't slam into the tower.  They shut it down on high wind delay after our trip up.  I was totally freaked out, I can just imagine how scary this must have been for these people.Would you go on Whistlers new peak to peak lift? I would probably have a panic attack if you are that high up the whole time but I would definitely try it!

Now thats the spirit! :)Its a good thing thing wasnt any worse.  I find it comforting to know that even if onea these things fell i wouldnt instantly die.  But then again its scary that it fell off at all lol.

i hear the people in the middle of the gondola were relatively safe, but the people near the ends got it worse because they are relatively close to the ground; as it dropped those poor people hit the ground.  At least no one died, thats good news!
